Our Story
汉学 Hanxue was born from a simple frustration: the process of studying or travelling in China was needlessly complicated for foreigners. Visa requirements, language barriers, opaque university admissions, and unreliable local operators made what should be a life-enriching experience feel like an obstacle course.
Our founders — a mix of Chinese academics, international educators, and seasoned travel professionals — set out to change that. Based in Guangzhou's Zhujiang New Town, at the heart of South China's most dynamic city, we built Hanxue to be the trusted intermediary that foreigners deserve.
Today we work with over 50 partner universities, have placed more than 1,000 students, and have guided thousands of travellers through China's most extraordinary destinations. Our team of 20 spans six nationalities and speaks twelve languages — because we believe the best guide is one who truly understands where you're coming from.
